B Eng (Hons) Grad Dip Building Project Management

Graduating from University in 1983, John’s career quickly turned from civil engineering towards the building industry. With many years of experience with a large international contracting firm, John decided to return to his home town of Mackay in 1993 to establish John Foster Projects Pty Ltd.

John’s personal experience encompasses roles from site engineer to project and quality management on projects including:

 
 
  1. New Medical Building - Royal Children’s Hospital, Brisbane
  2. Common User Facilities - New Brisbane Airport Terminal
  3. Logan Community Hospital ($10 million project for the South Brisbane Hospitals Board)
  4. New Engineering Building - Queensland University ($12 million Project)
  5. Government Chemical Laboratory, Nathan ($20 million Project for the Qld Government)
  6. New Brisbane Airport Domestic Terminal Project

Construction management experience on projects ranging from $1 million to $70 million has resulted in a thorough understanding of the implementation of construction management principles on a wide variety of projects.

John has held the position of Quality Manager for an international building contracting firm, and he is a member of the Queensland Master Builders Association.

John’s business goals include developing the business of John Foster Projects Pty Ltd whilst retaining his reputation for being fair and equitable in dealings and providing customers with a quality product.
